A clean Pho Bowl ready in minutes to nourish your soul and your gut health. This meal can be ready in less than 10 minutes and will have you slurping up seconds.
1tspthinly slice serrano peppercan sub with jalapeno peppers
1tspthinly sliced green onion
1tbspchopped red cabbage
1/2tbspdiced avocado
1/2tbspChopped cilantro leaves
1ozcooked chicken thighoptional
1/4lime
Instructions
Heat broth on the stove until hot, but not boiling
Boil salted water. Add rice noodles and boil for 5 minutes
Meanwhile, chop the vegetables, herbs, and chicken.
Strain the rice noodles and add to a bowl. Top with chopped vegetables, herbs and chicken. Squeeze lime into the bowl and then add the lime wedge.
Pour hot broth over the bowls until full. Salt if needed. Serve and enjoy!
Notes
Use lime juice and the lime wedge for a broader flavor profile. The lime rind gives and umami flavor similar to Kefir lime leaves when mixed with the hot broth
If amking your own broth, simmer bones in cold water for 12-24 hours for the best clear bone broth. Make this ahead and freeze for future Pho dinners
Use fresh crisp vegetables that are organic
Add additional sliced pepper for extra heat
Get high-quality rice noodles and and don't overcook them. They'll cook a little bit extra when you add the hot broth.
Cut all of the vegetables, herbs and chicken to similiarly sized pieces.
